NISEC Parent Network is a group of parents who have the common goal of promoting positive communication between parents of special education students and the schools. They attend regular meetings, participate in district planning and are a resource to other parents. Each parent represents parents of special education students in their respective school district. Special Events / Meetings

A support group for parents of children with disabilities meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at Mental Health American of Lake County - 9722 Parkway Drive, Highland. For more information call Kristen Verhoeve at 922-3822 or Laura Peters at 865-1171.

Sports Activities

Local sporting activities are posted as they become available. You can also view current programs offered by YMCA and other organizations by visiting the "Links" section of this website.

Attend meetings and workshops to learn more. A well educated parent is a child's best advocate! Workshop information will be posted as it becomes available each school year. Watch for upcoming topics and dates.
